Craftwork approach

Built on the belief that careful work outlasts clever shortcuts

We started Rasa Forge because small business owners kept asking honest questions and getting sales pitches in return. We thought they deserved better.

From a conversation at a hawker centre

Rasa Forge was founded in 2022 by two former consultants who kept having the same conversation. Friends running small businesses — a legal firm in Tanjong Pagar, a bakery in Tiong Bahru, a two-person logistics broker in Jurong — were asking whether AI tools were worth looking at. Every vendor they'd spoken to said yes, enthusiastically, and sold them something that sat unused within three months.

We thought there was room for a firm that would study a business first, give a straight answer, and only proceed if there was a genuine fit. The name comes from the idea of a forge — a place where things are shaped with patience and heat, not mass-produced.

Our work covers three kinds of engagement: a first-look session that maps where tools might help, a fitted build that configures those tools around your real routines, and an ongoing care arrangement for businesses that want steady attention. All three are priced for small teams, not enterprise budgets.

We are based at Marina Bay Financial Centre and serve clients across Singapore. Most of our clients run teams of five to thirty people. We don't take on large enterprise projects — not because we couldn't, but because small businesses are what we understand best.

What shapes how we work

Candour over comfort

We tell clients what we see, not what they'd like to hear. If a tool is wrong for their situation, the honest answer is more valuable than a sale.

Craft over speed

We work at the pace that produces something durable. Rushed integrations unravel; careful ones become part of how a business runs.

Everything written down

Every engagement produces written output. You should always know what was done and why, in plain language you can refer back to.

Respect for your time

Business owners have enough on their plates. We keep sessions focused, communications brief, and handovers clear so your daily work continues without unnecessary disruption.

Standards we hold ourselves to

Data privacy by default

All client data is handled in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. We don't store business information beyond what a project requires, and we're clear about what we touch.

Written scope before we start

Every engagement begins with a short written statement of what's included. If scope needs to change, we discuss it openly before any work is done — no surprises at invoice time.

Testing before handover

No integration goes live until it has been tested against real tasks from your workflow. We run checks ourselves and then walk your team through their own test before we consider the build complete.

Plain language throughout

Technical jargon has its place, but not in our client communications. Summaries, diagrams, and reviews are written so that any person in your business can read and understand them.

Quarterly review on retainers

Retainer clients receive a written review every quarter covering what the tools have done, what has shifted, and what we're adjusting. It's a prompt for a plain conversation, not a performance report.

We say no when it's right

If a business's situation doesn't call for AI tooling, we say so after the Measure-Up. Clients who hear that have still spent their session money wisely — they know where not to go next.

AI integration that fits real working life

Small businesses in Singapore operate under real constraints — limited staff, tight margins, and owners who already wear several hats. When we work with a business, the first question is not "which tools exist" but "where does this team lose time or attention to tasks that a well-configured assistant could handle more consistently."

That question takes careful listening to answer properly. We typically spend the first session observing workflows, asking about the parts of the work that feel repetitive or unreliable, and noting where a human judgement is genuinely needed rather than a pattern that could be handled systematically. From this, we produce an opportunity map — a short written document that names two or three realistic places where a supportive tool could sit.

Our integration work focuses on tools that are well-established, maintainable without specialist knowledge, and sensibly priced for small teams. We don't recommend anything we wouldn't be comfortable explaining in plain terms. Configuration takes roughly three weeks from kickoff to a tested, handed-over setup. We write a diagram of what was built, walk your staff through it, and stay available for a fortnight after handover to catch anything that needs adjusting.

For businesses that want continuing attention, the monthly retainer keeps tools in working order as your needs shift. This is less a support desk and more a quiet ongoing relationship — someone who knows your setup and reviews it with you on a sensible schedule.

Rasa Forge operates from Marina Bay, Singapore, and works with clients across the island. Engagements are conducted in English and can accommodate a range of working styles, from in-person sessions at our offices to remote walkthroughs for teams based elsewhere in Singapore.
